Re: Bandcamp introduces vinyl pressing service

Anyone seen a minimum pressing number? All examples are double lps, gatefold sleeves, marbled etc so costs seem high for the punter. Would like to see the costing for 50/100 regular weight with paper inner and colour jacket. I don’t like the set time limit in these things, so if you can’t generate e...

Re: What video games are you folks playing?

Lots to check out from this thread, good stuff! Just polished off Red Dead Redemption and Breath of the Wild. Both really great single player experiences. The missus grabbed the remastered Resident Evil 2 for a bit of zombie action! Loving playing thru with her, proper romance there! Also playing an...

@odd have a smashing time tomorrow mate! I found It’s very easy to fly through your patterns/sequences live way faster than normal than in rehearsal, so make sure to have a few extra tracks justin casey! One more tune! One more tune!

Re: Spotify and Amazon ‘sue songwriters’ with appeal against 44% royalty rise in the United States

How much does radio pay btw? I remember being told that it’s roughly £60 per play from a national station with a huge audience like BBC Radio 1 and £30 for smaller more localised stations like BBC Radio Ulster [northern ireland]. As long as the recordings are registered with the ppl [isrc codes etc...

Yea mate, caught them in Belfast a few years ago, they were in the crowd during the warmup act having a drink, dancing and mingling with people. Good lads and great energy live. Funny cunts as well :D

Re: Machinedrum tutorial

I’ll be driving that compressor ASAP! Thanks for the heads up! Running mine into the A4 atm for parallel saturation/distortion filter p-lock fx lovelies. Haven’t done this in a while but I can remember laying down 16trigs on a 1bar pattern on a ctrl machine track, hitting rec and tweaking everything...

Re: Arturia Microfreak

My hat goes off to Arturia (apart from their handling of the “collaboration” with Mutable which didn't sound anything of the sort). Yea, using the Plaids open source code and then putting it across as a direct collaboration with MI is a bad look. Think they took down all references to a collab from...

Nice one void! Really looking forward to this series. The EQ tut with ‘seeing into the mix’ guide sounds very useful. Good man!

Living in N.Ireland it’s been a hoot watching this shit unfold. I don’t see Mays deal as this dire apocalyptic path we’re on as the DUP seems to think. Peoples businesses and holidays will be just fine and there will be no physical border whatever happens. Primark burning down in Belfast will have ...

Re: Vorlis - Capsule Tracks

As for being to dense and centred how would y’all suggest widening these stereo mixes, Mid-side EQ and push the sides nice and wide? I don't know if there would be something destructive to it but I got this idea reading your question. Duplicate the whole thing in the daw and make one channel only m...
