Re: Modulated filter sound
Sooo, just arrived at home and while I tried to find the project file, I remembered that I recorded the synth sound with my Dominion 1 direct to an audio file. So I'm not able to give you exact settings but this sound is very basic and easy to recreate. Any softsynth will do I think. For the basic ...

Re: Audio Setup Advice
Well, of course this kind of thing i am looking for isn't cheap in anyway.
i would say something starting from 1000 to 2000 dollars i guess
its more like a home setup thing, any compound system for experiencing/ listening music.

Audio Setup Advice
Hi everyone, I would like to have some advice on building a nice audio setup or a sound system for all sorts of music genres. Recently I ve been listening to different types of music (metal, techno, classical, etc,) and of course not all of it sounds accurate or the way the are intended to be in my ...

Re: Voidloss - Cyclic Emotions (Lumiere Variation)
I am a great fan of minimalistic and abstract stuff, this one its really good, i really liked the whole percussion layering along with that cavernous kick and the overall construction. In my personal opinion i would take the hats off as dubdub said above (or probably switch them for some field recor...

Re: Thoughts about Psy-trance genres
For me, somewhat ironically in retrospect, I was really into a subgenre called techtrance that was only really around in the late 90s and early 00s, it was very very techno influenced and the tracks all had quite a bit unique about them. Artists include X-Dream, Spirallianz, Midimiliz, The Delta, s...

Re: Thoughts about Psy-trance genres
mainst09 it seems that you are into this darkpsy stuff and you know a bunch of artists and I respect your point, but tbh all the tracks you posted sounded the same to me. (Same structure, synth sequences, basslines, etc.)

Re: Thoughts about Psy-trance genres
Yeah basically what everyone has already said, its quite simplistic and repetitive.
But I would say that some of the mix downs and sounds in general are very well made.

Re: Reese Bass (How to do thread)
Great useful tips, thank you all. (What i love about these particular sound, is the modulation, it feels like a low deep growl)
I got the same Void's question about using a sampler, why would you use it? I tried it out but it loses quality somehow

Reese Bass (How to do thread)
I know many of you hate this kind of threads, since there's a lot useful tips around the forum, but I haven't found accurate techniques for doing this kind of sound. i can make a standard "mainstream" reese bass with NI Massive but not this broody, dark sort of reese (I believe its a reese bassline)...

Re: Coyu - Suara - Changing direction (slightly)
I have to say that I definitely liked his approach, not a fan of Suara, but its latest release (Dia Cero) gathered very good artists and there's nice tracks there. (although its basically the standard techno)

Re: Concrete Island - Galactic Acid
I really like it, it me remind of a function track somehow, i think is called "against the wall". I would love that you could edit more those acid sequences by using some delay automations with reverb to create some sort of drone in the background. (My opinion) pd: I can't enough of that track "shad...

Re: What are you listening to?
Man your music is from another world, it really caught me, never thought it was you, it teletransported me literally haha. All of your tracks amazed me, specially this one you posted "Shadows in the neon rain", love that mellow nostalgic feel. I am actually taking a break from techno (I feel it does...
