Re: If you were me in a small room, would you bother getting

But as Jordanekke is saying above - you can learn to work with what you've got! Unfortunately because of my home life conditions and work life restrictions I do a lot of mixing in headphones and I have learnt how to do that, and also what my room and monitors add or reveal in a mix. Yeh you do get u...

Re: If you were me in a small room, would you bother getting

KRK 8s I've heard in a treated room and they don't sound great. I have the KRK 6 rockits and they are way overly bassy in a crowded low-mid way. I also have Yamaha HS8s which are not so expensive and really a lot better than KRKs imo. But then I also work in mates studio with Mackie H824s which are ...

Re: Classic mixer overdrive in the box - how?

I use Sonimus Satson and turn the gain up, "fat" on and track volume down. Will try these other options though -SSDR wanted to get for a while.

Re: Making multiple genres = more creativity or less focus?

I work in 3 projects - 2 collabs, one solo. Definitely can't make only one genre or style. Each week I feel enthused or sick of one or another of the projects - last week hating the monotony of same sounds and ideas in contemporary techno music - this week loving it and inspired and enthused again!M...

Re: The Constant Feed, Friend of Foe?

I promote a night in Belfast in its early stages, I need the feed and the posting to promote it. Kind of feel conflicted doing it and for my own music as it does feel bit shit doing self promotion etc. still getting used to it. Voidloss - saying you've never sent a demo out - that's pretty cool man....

In case anyone else interested - I found everything I needed on this site: http://ctrlr.org/

Massive respect to the developers who have worked so hard to produce this. It's all open source and so anyone can make improvements and fix bugs (if you have the know how, which I do not!).

Oberheim matrix 1000 + sysex & midi controller...

Hey :) - I have a matrix 1000 and borrowing a Novation Zero SL as I've seen this done in a youtube vid. A guy has mapped the Novation to control parameters in the Matrix 1000 (it's just a sound module and usually you can't change any parameters, just play preset patches). I have contacted the guy on...

Just normal fingers. Dick fingers would be awesome. every handshake would be ecstacy. I would be the friendliest fucker in town. No - just - no! It sounds like a sound with low frequency content + saturation effect with drive turned right up would do it.

Is it music?

https://www.jukedeck.com/ This is a site where you input a few stylistics choices (e.g. tempo, ambient style, dark) and an algorithm (which there's not much info about) produces a piece of original music for you. It's basically an AI music production bot.... A great definition of music I heard is "h...

Re: So yes, this topic has been made now.

I read recently that millionaires make up 0.7 of the UK population. 78% of UK Parliament are millionaires. Says it all really. Well this is a massive bug bear of mine. These politicians are well out of touch. I struggle to vote for any of them because they don't represent where I come from or what ...
