Antelope Audio discrete 8 or RME Fireface 802?
Good evening guys, I'd like to replace my soundcard very soon, I'm currently looking for some feedback on the Antelope Audio discrete 8, I've heard some discordant opinions on it and would like to know if any of you knows something more about this interfece considering that is a recent product. When...

Re: GENELEC 1031a VS ATC SCM20 asl.
Thanks for the replies guys. I bought the ATCs in the end. :) Tremendous speakers. Really had no doubt after hearing them the day after with fresh ears. Yes the new Genelecs aren't bad specially the ones with room correction system, but I'm really not so crazy about the mid highs. Fidelity wins over...

GENELEC 1031a VS ATC SCM20 asl.
Hello guys. So, I'll get straight to the point. I found a good deal for both Genelec 1031a and ATC SCM20 asl (the first grey model). I tried them both at the shop today and the Genelecs (I was actually looking for a pair of them) sounds good overall, nice low end good low mids, harsh highs. Not so c...

Re: Multitrack recording using Ableton as an instrument
May I ask why you use 2 DAWs and not just add External FX in ableton and record in ableton directly? If you want to multitrack from a mixer you'll need one with direct outs for the channels or at least one with group outs to record stems and an interface with a lot of I/O options.. or maybe 2.. not...

Multitrack recording using Ableton as an instrument
Hello guys! I would like to replace in the next days my mixer (Soundcraft signature 22mtk USB, got broken) and soundcard (rme Babayface) in order to change my workflow. What I've been doing so far was routing the audio of each individual track from Ableton into the mixer via the built-in usb soundca...

Camel Audio Alchemy - Is there a way to still get it?
Hi everyone. I was wondering if there's still a way  to get Alchemy by Camel Audio since it has been removed from sales a couple of years ago. I'm an ableton/mac user so I know that an alternative solution would be getting Logic X to work with alchemy 2 but I just really liked the old version....

In more seriousness, I think relating to the OP and the tunes linked here..... Yo can overthink thinks. Nothing that special has been done to the pads in the tunes linked, really what makes it work is the musiciality of it. I think it's something that dozzy does well. To me his mixes always sound v...

Re: Mixing pads and atmospheres.
Thank you Planar, Oxa and Koichi, those were very useful informations. I'll try to experiment different combinations of reverbs and delays. I'm also trying to achieve better results with mid side and eq in general. I guess this is something that takes time to achieve and sometimes I tend to overcomp...

Mixing pads and atmospheres.
Hello everyone, Hope you're all doing well. Just wanted to ask a quick question on how to mix pads and atmospheres in a context such this: o_XlybWU868 7hexO_PEv4U They both sound to me very deep and wide, almost enveloping the low frequencies (in case of example n.2). Has anyone got any tips on how ...

How to achieve this Sub Bass
Hello everyone, Second post in this section for me :) I was wondering how can I achieve this particular kind of sub bass (you can clearly hear it around 7.00): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8N5JwCJDr8 My idea is that it has been done using a filtered kick (possibly with distortion) and some rever...

Re: Sync Problems with Rme Babyface and Acidlab Miami in ABL
Hello P_ache, thanks a lot for your reply. So the Miami is setted to sync in, the MIDI cable goes out of the MIDI out of the babyface in the left port of the MIAMI. I selected only the sync out boxes in the Ableton preferences but still no sync is happening. Could it be something in the total mix pr...

Sync Problems with Rme Babyface and Acidlab Miami in ABLETON
Hello everyone! So, I'm having a bit of an issue with my Babyface and an Acidlab Miami. The MIDI signal is going out from the Babyface into the MIDI in of the Miami, I also activated all the sync options in the Ableton MIDI preferences and the Babyface clock is settled to "internal" (I also tried Op...

Hello Rohr Sha. We do share the same interests, I came across your release with Zann a while ago on "members track" and I really liked it a lot and yes, I agree, Luigi's releases are excellent and full of energy. Hope to talk to you soon and listen to some more good music .
