Bit of fun and creativity on sound design.

Hi all, I was reading the Subsekt 2020 post in the dialog section and I would like to engage a bit more on the forum, more than I have done anyway. I do read through a lot of the content, I feel I don't have much to add but I will defo try work on that and contribute more. I thought of a little chal...

Re: Broken World

Barfunkel I do enjoy a bit psy/goa trance so maybe the influence come's from there. Glad you enjoed the track :) Nice track! The musical ideas in a strange way remind me of 90's goa trance. No idea if that's intentional. But it kinda sounds like a goa producer trying to write a modern techno track, ...

Re: Broken World

2latuile I have actually been thinking this myself when listening to it in the car. The open hat especially comes in a bit harsh. I'm in a bit of a shitty situation music-wise. I recently moved in with my partner so my studio space has decreased massivly. I'm currently just using my beyerdynamic d77...

I actually think the mix is pretty good, if this were mastered you would probably think it's perfect.

Cool to have done a music video too.

Kudos on a productive week (high five emoji)

Re: Anyone learning any new quarantine skills?

I've been getting the garden done too. I'm actually still working, so I'm just really stuck at home at nights. I have 2 kids but they live with thier mum, and we decided they should stay there until all this is over as me and my current partner are both classed as essential and my partner is frontli...

Yeah, bought a new graphics card and started gaming again after 15 years (or even longer).
Nice one :) , I thought about buying a PS4 or X-Box to keep me busy but then just decided on the guitar.

Re: Anyone learning any new quarantine skills?

Ah nice one, thats cool. I guess you have been doing yoga a while? I've managed to get a new track complete since being in lockdown. First time one I have managed to finish in quite a while. Anyone learning any new quarantine skills?

Hi all, Just wondering if anyone is learning any new skills whilst stuck in quarantine/isolation. Though I would make the most of the time stuck in the house and learn something new. I decided I'm going to learn guitar. So I got one on Friday and I've been practicing a little bit each day. Already s...

Broken World

Hey Subsekt, Hope you are all well!! Whilst in isolation last week I managed to get a full track complete from start to finish. Been a while I've had the time to get a track complete. I even managed to make a video to go with it, which I am extremely happy with. First time ever doing any video editi...

Re: the top of a kick

Hey Amobe,

Yeah I would defo start with volume adjustment first and match the main kick with the click that way. Then EQ and add some gentle compression or saturation to gel them together.

We Love It Filthy

Hi guy's would be nice if you could have a listen and let me know what you think of this. The arrangement is pretty much final I think, still need to give it a surgical mixdown yet, but I reckon its sounding not too bad just now. Any tips/pointers would be great. Hope you enjoy. https://soundcloud.c...

Rezerection (One night only) Scotland 06/04/19

I know it might not be everyone's cup of tea. But this Saturday is the Rezerection. These event's were on in Scotland in the early 90's.i was far too young too attend. In my teens I was right into Gabber/Hardcore. I was at hardcore events all the time. It's been a while since I was last at one. Some...

Re: Erotica

Nice track, i feel like the kick is lacking a bit it sounds a bit though. Could be doing with a bit more pinch amd boom. Also the synth all the way through gets a bit repetitive. I would maybe mess about with the sound of it a bit more through the track.
