Keep time, change pitch in realtime. NI Maschine

Is it possible to keep a loop the same lenght but to change it's pitch in Maschine? Like you could on a MPC 2xxx back in the days with the patch phrase function.

Re: modular sequencing in software

You should check Five12 s numerology 3 if you're on mac. I think it can do what you want.

SugarBytes Turnado - random soundmangle st st st stuttter plug in

Like the title says :D

Preferably reaktor but any other VSTFX would do. I already own AudioDamage Automation but thats about it in the "crazy" plugin category. I would love something you can trigger trough midi and something that's sort of uncontrollable but in a good way hehe.

Re: Subsekt's favourite analog stuff: synths drum machines,

Exactly. I'm at work so sorry for my short explanation. But that's exactly how it works! I just made some stickers on my midi keyboard to remind me what does what. But using the FB with midi triggering really opens op a whole new realm of sounds which are impossible to archive with audio triggering....

Re: Subsekt's favourite analog stuff: synths drum machines,

Normally the filter gate only opens if you reach the input threshold, but by triggering the gate with midi you can open the filter even with a low input volume hence less distortion.

to do this you need to block the audio AR, and ADSR

Re: Subsekt's favourite analog stuff: synths drum machines,

7) Filter stuff, like my Sherman Filterbank 2 (stereo) + Restyler, and the analog filter on my Biscuit. The Filterbank and me still gotta become real friends, but that's only cause I didn't have enough time to spend with it yet. The filterbank to me also feels a lot more like a distortion tool than...

Re: Subsekt's favourite analog stuff: synths drum machines,

Arturia Minibrute, Sherman Filterbank 2, Poly 800, and a mackie vlz1204 just for saturation/overdrive, everything goes into Live trough a motu ultralite mk3. I've had al the korg electribes but sadley sold them. I only regret selling the ESX as it was a nasty little monster. And im quite fond of nas...

Just sample the note or bar you want. Put it in sampler/simpler and play it from sampler. Saves some cpu to if im right. Apply effects on the sampler/simper,

Soundtoys delay and crystalizer especially. Fab filter EQ and Numerology sequencer< best step sequencer out there since i've got it i've rarely touched the piano rol in live, and I still believe I haven't even scratched the surface yet.

Re: Compression techniques and tips

Thanks for the tips. I'd add that looking at the sound you're compressing can help pick out the values you want. I often compress kicks with the intention of pulling out the initial transient and making them sound a little less "boxy". It's made much easier if I look at the kick sample in my DAW an...

Compression techniques and tips

In my efforts to save dynamics and as a sort of contribution to this site since I've been reading and thus taking so much from this hole, I thought it woud be a nice gesture to share some basic compression techniques and give something back. For me this method of working was a complete eye opener in...
