novation bass station 2 owners...

are there any of you out there?! I'm thinking of buying one, but I read that you can only trigger the arp with the keyboard, not via midi? or has this been changed by a firmware update? This seems nuts to have an arpeggiator that doesn't work if you are triggering the synth by DAW. hopefully someone...

John Heckle outed as Head Front Panel, any idea of kit list?

So surprise surprise, John Heckle is Head Front Panel, there's a (not very good) picture here of a recent Tresor gig, can you make out the kit list?

some sort of bitcrusher fx unit thingy?!

does anyone know what the fx unit is called at 7.15 --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIXTnv7hixM

it looks a bit like a black 303. sort of.

someone recommended it before on this board but I could not find the thread, and I saw it in the video and it reminded me.
any one know it?

Re: Oscilloscope

I use U-He Bazille for FM. it has an oscilloscope. And the modular look of it makes the routing easy to see, some people might disagree but I like using the wires for FM.

Re: u-He Bazille released + on sale

I really like Bazille, its sold as an modular synth, but its not an analog replica, it is an FM synth.
I like the immediacy of the wires to see the patch. FM8 or Operator is uninspiring tbh.

Re: Noise generation questions

Out of interest why the Behringer, and which model? Behringer mixers are cheap for the functionality, and pretty much a standard for the Noise Community. You buy em cheap, can abuse the shit out of them, and it doesn`t matter too much. You aren`t really looking for good EQ`s etc, you just want some...

any recommendations for a hardware filter?

looking for something cheaper than the Sherman filterbank (which is £400 or so) for filtering and distortion. maybe the jomox t-resonator?
anyone got any experiences?
