Re: Ableton Racks!

I never saw the point in using racks in live. If I've got an idea I try to find out what fx chain will be best for it and with pre-saved fx chains I only would feel restricted. I mean, yes, if you want to achieve the same thing over and over, I see the point for saving your best fx chains, but are ...

Re: MFB Dominion 1 Synth

last year my flat was broken into and all the good stuff taken :(

Dominion, RYTM, Tr-909, Soma Lyra, some pedals. I've since replaced most things though, except maybe my joie de vivre

Re: MFB Dominion 1 Synth

Dom1 user here reporting in :) Fkn love that synth so much. Thanks for the links here, as needed a taster to get my head back into it. I recently replaced my stolen Dom1, and am re-connecting everything at the moment.

Re: RIP Adam Kelly

It was a bit unnerving the way it unfolded online. But I guess this is the world we live in. If it was 20 years ago, I suppose I wouldn't have found out until ages after, and bumped into an old friend somewhere. But I did find it a bit sad that the news spread like wildfire, and I guess now the whol...

Re: Ableton WebBook - Making Music - Creative Strategies

there will be more stock after the first batch go out. the fanboys were quick on this batch =)

agree about the Oblique Strategies too, hence posting it. everything that is covered is very applicable, but vague enough to be applied in different ways!

Re: Ableton WebBook - Making Music - Creative Strategies

the catalog of attributes is a great one! like a Bob Monkhouse book of influences and directives.
Once you go back to the 'catalog' later, you have no idea what the initial Track you listened to was, and just follow your own instruction.

Ableton WebBook - Making Music - Creative Strategies

Not a huge poster around here, but this is worthy of a mention. If you hit a creative block, or are pissed off with not finishing tracks, then this is recommended. I've read a good chunk of it, and already use a lot of the techniques used. Reminds me of some of the posts Voidloss made on old BOA yea...

Re: illegal downlowds

I've seen my stuff on those Russian sites. Didn't bother me at all, as it was some indication that there was interest, which is hard to gauge in the digital world. Never started with Spotify though. Their business model is pretty top heavy. This article was pretty interesting: http://www.mixedbymarc...

Re: Building a website

lol ok i give up on this circular argument. its your opinion vs the reality. try design a website in AI, and then in PS...and see which is easier. then reference that to the web design community that all mockup in photoshop. download a premium wordpress theme from Themeforest. you will get a PS comp...

Re: Building a website

that is true for print, totally. but web, is just not the case :) why do you need crazy (vector?) flexblity for web? if you want flexibility on the web, then you use CSS. tbh I use both for designing websites, but perfectly happy sticking within PS if necessary. there is rarely a point when I need t...

Token nights are epic. http://picload.org/image/cwrrodi/line-up.png SHIT!! quality lineup. Although I caught a lot of them not so long ago, and was a bit u...

Re: Building a website

in the end the website is going to be a raster graphic, and more often than not, theres no need to vectors or illustrator.
