Re: Moving to London - Returning to the UK

Can’t really help with the rent side of the things, but I could hook you up with some decent squat crew if you want. Mhhhm, also you could check Cable street or Manor House warehouses. Just seen this, I've sorted a place for a month then looking for something more permanent when I'm up there. On th...

Re: Spring Reverb

I have some springs for Lives convolution reverb, I think they sound nice.

I really like spring verbs.... actually a really nice one is airwindows pocketverbs, set to springs... it's quite cpu heavy but a really cool sound.

Re: Moving to London - Returning to the UK

I`ll put my feelers out and see if anyone I know in town has a room/knows of a room. Welcome back, hit me up if you want to meet for a pint some time. Most appreciated Steve and yes that'd be nice - I will keep that in mind for when I'm next up there! You've probably checked but everyone I speak to...

Moving to London - Returning to the UK

Hi Subsekters, I haven't posted here for a quite a while but still check in every now and then - I hope everyone's new year is getting of to a good start! I've recently returned to the UK and I'm looking at moving up to London and finding work up there as well. Finding sublets is proving pretty diff...

Re: How to glue a reverb send with your main mix?

If you use your reverb as an insert you don't lose the ability to eq beforehand if you want to. Rack the reverb, make a chain for dry and another with the reverb on it. Now you can process the reverb seperately within the the rack or you can process them both together, or not at all. I find reverb s...

Re: reverbs

Been playing around with reverb a lot of recently because I've never really felt happy with the reverb in may tracks. I've been using Valhalla only for a long time but I never could really get to to 'gel' with the source so to speak. What I've found recently is that what massively helps is to creat...

reverbs

I've been exploring using different reverb techniques recently. I've been using a lot of very short reflections on things, chorusing them etc trying to give interesting spaces to things. I don't have any rules as such, I use both sends and inserts depending on what I'm going for. I also like printin...

Re: ValhallaDSP delay plugin is out now!

How does it stack up against Abletons Echo effect? I think it smokes Echo. Echo can certainly make some nice sounds but this has far more interesting options and sounds available. The way these trails sit in the music is really special and like dudbub said, for resampling purposes it sounds excelle...

Yeah same here. I have a ableton template where all my hardware own their own MIDI channel and an Audio channel for recording. Brainworx console on every channel. So i just have to fire on Live and i'm ready to go.
Which bx console do you use Mono out of interest? That and the live eq?

Re: New Live update from Ableton

There's lots of great shortcuts. One of my favourites is holding a note and pressing an arrow key to step sequence from.the keyboard, can only do it with the little blur headphone lit.

S is solo now which is really handy. Def learn a few Mslwte!

Just installing the beta. User wavetables and new devices, very nice. Automation updates look great.
