Re: Fucking originality
... there are a very few interesting artists I follow, but for me, as a genre it feels super super stale, people aren`t even trying. It's mostly about instagram vids of terrible terrible modular jams. Yes it makes more sense now, after reading my post again and then your reply, I started thinking a...

Re: Fucking originality
I agree, but only really because the mainstream overunning techno has closed down peoples courage for risk or pushing forwards. It has reached a dead end limited by consensus (and a propensity of nostalgia), which in my opinion is anti-art. I`m not hugley invested into techno any more as a result. ...

Re: Help me set up my MIDI (please!)
Not refuting what Ben said, solid advice, but chipping in just for kicks and exercising my midi mental muscles interface midi out > Yamaha midi in Yamaha midi out > midi splitter input A And Yamaha midi thru > midi splitter input B > JV midi in JV midi out > interface midi in And then just tweak the...

Re: How to know if a monitor handles transients accurately?
Great resource, exactly what I was looking for, thanks. All I need to do now is study it and do some research. I'm baffled by things like "measuring the length of the impulse response is directly related to the time differences that exist between different frequencies" and also "spectral characteri...

How to know if a monitor handles transients accurately?
Just like the topic title says, how do I check if my monitors do a good job?

Re: Choir Sound / Pad
My guess would be some Saw waves, envelope with sustain, a chorus/delay and some panning would definitely help

Re: spayne - dirty lines
Nice track, the pace could be more varied, add some more interesting breaks maybe? Drastic changes to the melody? For example I felt the bassline went all the way throughout the song largely unchanged, maybe a bit of variation in it would be good? The sound quality does need some tweaking, it kinda ...

Re: Black salt audio clipper
Just opened my TDR clipper, you can set the peak and loudness ranges, scale (absolute/relative) and zero LU point. Nice, I`ll probably buy it as I`ve never tried the limiter, and I`m always interested in different limiters. I like to support TDR too, they make really good tools. The Kotelnikov gets...

Re: Black salt audio clipper
I don't find Kazrog clean or fine enough for limiting, I use it more for mangling. Never tried voxengo, I love TDR stuff, and for some reason I don't have their limiter. I would imagine it is accurate and useful. Depends on the metering. How is the metering? "EBU R128 compliant peak and loudness me...

Re: Black salt audio clipper
That Standardclip looks impressive, so much detail and info. I've used Voxengo's clipper, the one included in the Tokyo Dawn's limiter, and kclip from Kazrog, What do you guys think about those? The one I always use is Tokyo Dawn's. I don't find Kazrog clean or fine enough for limiting, I use it mo...

Re: COVID theories
yeah, sounds like pure nonsense, specially when you say that "COVID is a globally coordinated project involving most governments". Humans are too fond of disagreeing and also pursuing their own agendas. Now imagine politicians, usually the most selfless kind of people, reaching consensus at such a l...
