Re: Production & Personal _ How Have You Done This Year?
I played out for the first time in nine years, and more importantly it was a collaboration with my brother. I finally started putting little snippets of music out into the world for the first time in a long time; 60 seconds at a time on Instagram, about once a week or so. Just enjoying making music,...

Re: Behringer 909 Clone _ Update / Price & Pics
'Full sized' and with individual outputs for $299 is pretty amazing. I'm sure there are some corners cut somewhere, but they are obviously listening to what customers are asking for (and seeing what Roland is unwilling to provide.)

I've noticed an increased use of the word 'bespoke' a lot lately in these types of things too.

Re: What DAW are all y'all tech nerds using?
I'm still on Live 9.6 due to finances and a desire to give 10 a little while to work out the kinks. Switching to Live a few years ago was a great move for me, it definitely put a lot of the fun back into creating instead of feeling like I am purely dictating information to a DAW. My main DAW path th...

Re: Production streaming and production streamers
I've thought about doing this as well, went so far as to buy a two decent webcams and 10' USB extension cords (Logitech C920) and set up a Twitch channel, though I'm thinking if I were to do this I would stream on Twitch and 'archive' on YouTube as Twitch seems weird about how to save a stream and h...

Re: Bandsplitting
I use a lot of the multiband MeldaProduction plugins on stuff and yes, it is fun for big neuro walls of bass noise (I first really started utilizing bandsplitting after watching some big dumb hardcore kick tutorials) but it can have some subtle uses like 0dd mentioned. Being able to slightly saturat...

Re: Post pics of your techno cave
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I don't mind learning curves. Unloading the pressure off my wrist is reason enough to get one, and I can imagine it's much precisererr when you get used to it. Yes, it is much less pressure and mileage on your wrist for sure. I notice the difference between using a mou...

Re: Post pics of your techno cave
Bcr2000 one of the most useful things behringer have made. Definitely - being a piece of Behringer gear, it was a surprise to not regret the money spent on it! I also picked up the Isotonik BCRXL script for it which makes Ableton immediately recognize it as a mixing interface and assign all of the ...

Re: Post pics of your techno cave
That's the one I thought of getting. How do you like it? I like it well enough, I have been using one for about 15 years or so without any complaints. I have tried some other trackballs with different layouts but this design is the one I 'learned' on so it feels the most natural (at this point, I p...

Re: Interesting rhythms/ drum programming
I've bought some MIDI loops of different 'World' music styles to play around with to get some different perspective this way. It is interesting to be able to see where on (or off) the grid different types of percussion fall in various styles and time signatures.

Re: New members say hello...
Hello everyone, I've been lurking for a bit so I figured it was time to interact, but not spam... This increasingly lazy body has seen 40 summers and produced music for 23 of them. I live in Connecticut so I occasionally get down to NYC or up to Boston for a show, seeing any of the industrial bands ...
