Re: I think I might have to stop using headphones

I dealt with this by calibrating my monitoring. Work to same rms at same level. If I turn it up too high I know straight away as the volume dial won't be where it should. I produce mostly in headphones. (OLLO S4X currently..... Amazing headphones). Ears tested every year and in better than average ...

Re: How Far Do You Go w/ Making Your Own Templates / Presets

I don't necessarily have templates, but I tend to create sample packs as I go along. I mostly have folders on the left side window of Ableton with sounds from various tracks that I like - a kick folder, clap, synth arpeggios etc. However, I rarely use them. Probably the kick folder most but these da...

DFAM is a fucking techno machine. Best money I ever spent. Just sitting and noodling for 10 minutes provides me with oodles of insane tweaked out techno bonks and swizzles.

Re: MOOG Drummer From Another Mother...

Personally love this thing. Its one voice, sure, but it sounds reaaally good and I love the simplicity of it. Really makes you get creative with it with the limitations. The patchbay is really then an extension, for the people wanting to then use the 'advance' side to the DFAM. Saying that, I do wis...

Re: Behringer back at it again! This time...SH-101

What's the build quality like though? I've had a couple of behringer things & they've had dodgy pots. Or had plastic sockets on the case instead of more durable metal parts, therefore prone to breaking. I see lots of mixers that have issues.. though they've probably been abused. I see there's probl...

Re: Behringer back at it again! This time...SH-101

Havent had the chance to go on any of the clones by Behringer yet, people have said they sound awesome and I am very keen to try them. Agree with a lot of comments here, Roland have really shot themselves in the foot and are paying the price now. I can see these new Behringer's selling very well, es...

Abletons is acceptable, but against the background of barely anything there, that's not saying much.
Have you use GRM Tools? The GRM Resonator is pretty damn good.

Pro Q Fab Filter - always come back to this EQ.
Soundtoys Decapitator - if you use it, you know.

Re: Hardware Sequencers that wont break the bank

Might be a little out of your price range, but the Polyend SEQ is awesome. It just had a bit of a price reduction too. The topic tittle was 'Hardware Sequencers that wont break the bank' and you mention one that costs 1300 euro? :) Some people’s banks are larger than others? It just had a pri...
