Re: Melodic Broken Beat Techno. Opinions and Critique please!

You should take your time and comment on others tracks first, especially as a new member. This is a good track! The sounddesign is nicely done, although not 100% my taste. Arrangemebt works for me and the mix is fine. But i think the kick could have more definition in the mids/highs. The lowend fee...

Melodic Broken Beat Techno. Opinions and Critique please!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to gather peoples feedback and critiques on a new project I'm working on. I plan to follow this sound as long as I can keep pumping out the ideas. I like melodies, techno, and ambient music so this kinda encapsulates the aspects of what I like. I have released techno music ...

New Here!

Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself! My name is Duke and I have been producing house and techno since 2013. I have had a few tracks released on a couple of labels, one being created by a collective of which I am apart. I generally like groovy minimal house and groovy techno although I love the...

Re: Mix Bus Compression Guide

Another form of Mix Buss Compression is to put on a Tape Bus plugin such as my personal favourite the ToneBoosters ReelBus. It just adds that tapey warmth and brings the low end up a bit. I have been mixing into the Cytomic Glue (same as Ableton Glue Comp but a little more options) for awhile now an...

Re: Ableton mono signals

When you make a signal mono, you're effectively summing the left and right together. So neither signals are getting removed, if it were you would be losing information. Although be careful when you have wide sounds and would like to make them mono, you will possibly run into phasing problems. You mi...

Re: Behringer Model D

I must say that after hearing some of the comparison videos, the Miniboog is very close to the Minimoog. Even Kenny Larkin said to go and get it because you can't go wrong for $300 bucks or $500 in Canada. I own a Sub37 myself and I still want that Model D vibe!

Re: Ableton 10 anyone?

I have been using Live 10 Beta since November of last year, I must say the workflow improved quite a bit. Now being able to zoom with the cmd and option + scroll wheel lets me work so much faster. Also being able to zoom in and out quickly with the Z command and the Shift+Z command saves some time t...
