Need to dl this today.

Was rewatching some slynk vid last night. Those new modulation fx, chorus , flanger / phaser sound great.. but its a bit shit that they don't have the X/Y pad in the GUI. Also wondering if the x20 button is gone from the new chorus plug. Love that button & being able to tune the effect with the x/y.

Had a long day at work. I'm too mentally exhausted atm to accurately remember if there's some default x/y thing in live plugs if you select parameters, or if its just 3rd party vstz.

First world problems 🤣.

Will have to look & if not, possibly make a template with some of the ancient plugs on individual channels so I can import them.

Go tmy email telling me it`s ready to download.

Got a bunch of projects (as always) to finish before I do though. this will be another me not upgrading for 10 months due to my painfully slow rate of production.

Is it just me or did they change the fonts, color contrast and color schemes? It's looks quite different than Live 10 with the same settings and tbh, I prefer the Live 10 look...

Can't understand why you can't set up your own colour palette. Sounds so trivial but it bugs me, something so simple to implement that, for me, would be a hugely useful thing. Maybe some day...

Right at the start of the thread I asked if it was possible to crossfade between two macro snapshots and it wasn't, or was with loads of effort. Well now it is and its dead easy!

This will let you crossfade from one snap shot to another and automate it really easily :D

Finally got around to installing this yesterday & spent only a few mins with it haha

Really impressed with the bitcrusher.

Thought the spectral delay sounded nice. Used it on a snare, then some 16th hats & finally on a bassline thing. Probably too much spectral stuff going on tbh.. but it was fun to crank.

Will hopefully spend some more time with it tomorrow.

How's everyone finding it.. anything revealing itself to be supercool?

the updated clip tabs had me searching around for things the first few weeks.
it feels so the same, I hardly notice the upgrade, hence not looking around for new things that much.
snapshots for racks is cool, with the transition patch mentioned here earlier. been using the probability quite some on hats and the like. was planning on trying the comping with my guitar next week, might make things easier for arrangement view loop construction duties as well.
tried that hybrid reverb, but noticed nothing special... it's two bread and butter reverbs you can mix (algo & convo).
so didn't dive in properly yet (if I ever will).

Absolutely the same experience!

Opened it up & felt like that too. It's the same! Aye. Hahaha. Sure there's the extra clip stuff.. there are changes, but I didn't scratch my head.

Seen they've been fucking around with the drum racks again & there's a mini 4 macro thing for release & drive etc.. on each drum.part. Sometimes I think I preferred the layout & sound of the stock drum racks in L9.

I briefly opened up one of the new reverb & deleted it after rushing through it like mad.. & not locating the 'crazy sound' button. Need to spend more time with these things of course 🤣

That spectral stuff is fucking class. Odd, jarring, metallic & claustrophobic. You can get some mad sounding things from it.

The chorus & phaser plugs are lovely. The warmth dial is a great idea. Think they sound A1.

Still.. you cant crank the chorus to utter max like the previous version. Shame they got rid of the x20 audio rate button. They are 2 different animals.

Made a small effect rack to use in L11 with the phaser. flanger & chorus. It works.

Just tried MPE in Wavetable for the first time... very nice! some pad, take your two chords, duplicate ten minutes worth, and start drawing per note pb, slide and pressure, do some assigning in Wavetable's matrix, and why not, add Sprectral Resonator for giggles. Throw in your field recording of you walking on some Nordic pebble beach, and you have your Biosphere (Love that Substrata album!)

I can rarely afford to risk it. I`m pretty much behind on all the releases I'm supposed to have done, I`m lucky people are pretty patient with me, but I`m so behind it`s silly, flipping to new versions and the potential problems that could occur are something I just don't have time for. I`m in no rush for the new features until I start new projects.

I was a bit reluctant at first since I'm coming from the 32 bit version of Live 9, but it wasn't that much of a hassle.
I only had to reinstall some external plugins as I already had both 32 and 64 bit versions of most of my plugins.

There's a few plugins that are only 32 bit that I would like to use in L11 though (FerricTDS, TesslaPro, TT dynamic range metering plug).
Was it jBridge you can use for this? I can't recall exactly.

I'm going to dive deeper into Live 11 this weekend.

I actually had a L10 crash after installing L11. Probably a coincidence. First one in ages. Probably only the 3rd since L10 cane out.

Theres a new update of L11 out I believe..

Really liking it 👌. Great fucking software.

I'm getting quite some CPU spikes in L11, not nice. I wouldn't trust it yet for professional use/in front of a crowd. Maybe it's my aging laptop (desktop is still Win7, so no Live11 on that one). Also had a few crashes, and indeed never had one with 10.
Just downloaded the latest version. Gonna try these 'inspired by nature' devices tonight. They look like fun.
Tried the comping yesterday recording guitar tracks, works great. Now I just need to learn how to play in time again after not being in a band/recording to a drum track for years. My timing is, well, very loose...

I haven't had any crashes, but have the feeling it is taking it's toll on my old macbook pro from 2013. Never had any real issues on L10..

It's about time to buy a new mac anyway, but I'd like to wait for the new model first..

I like the update. The spectral stuff is fun - but the best feature is the ability to finally make templates of livesets. Oh and I like the probability stuff.
And it has been stable so far.
