I like obscuur & tripalium too
This latest obscuur release is really nice
https://obscuurrecords.bandcamp.com/alb ... ut-lies-ep
Only the originals though

Well about arts, i dont want to dig it all up again but the essence is this:
The owner emmanuel stole tracks from others and released it as his own. And denied it although it was obvious. Fame bitching of the highest order
You find it all in the techno gossip thread

Yeah. As Steve i follow artists, not labels. These were exceptions back then and I blindly bought every release.

ARTS
:? :? :? :?
I know there is that whole shitstorm with Beddewela and his Golden Rule EP but other than that I quite like the label selection and aesthetics. Shlømo, Tim Tama, Yan Cook, Introversion, Cleric all had releases that I very much enjoyed through ARTS.
Is there any other particular reason why you do not like the label?
Not only the Tresor fraud. He did it several times.

I used to be unbelievably label-centric and completist when I was still doing the vinyl and vinyl only thing, nowadays I tend to go after interesting music regardless of label or artist - but I haven't completely let go of my habitual purchasing patterns. Here's a tiny sampler subset of (techno) labels I'm stalking - at this point in time I'm following 1385 artists and labels on Bandcamp alone.
PS. I also like the latest VSK on MORD and the upcoming Reeko on Avian.

Woa thats class, thanks for the deep reply I´ll make sure to check them out, purchases of the month for me thus far have been the new Restive Plaggona stuff and the VSK one, I like to follow lables but I wont blindly buy everything they put out without givin it a careful listen before, specially in cases like MORD they seem to be really hit n miss recently, but it seems theyre movin away from the uberhard hitting all day everyday way they used to follow.

I know what you mean, sometimes is hard to dissociate the owner from its product, but you gotta agree that his label got some quality releases from genuine artists.

I disagree. I think people find it very easy to turn a blind eye to a person behind a product if it saves them the inconvinience of not consuming the product they like. That’s why there is so many well known artists releasing on that label.

Yeah, what I meant is that I understand Mono dislike for the label based on its owner misconducts but if you analise the label strictly by the material they are releasing is hard not to place them among the best ones atm. The ethics behind the artists decision to keep releasing their material there despite the questionable character of its owner is another discussion.
