Re: What DJ kit are you currently using (and wtf should i do

No need to, I've been a Serato user for a long time now. Can you help me out? I tried setting up last night and I got no feedback at all through Serato scratch. Set up went like this: Technic phono cables plugged into input 1, red & white (only using one serato record right now, not two). Plugged a...

Re: What DJ kit are you currently using (and wtf should i do

Completely forgot:

I don't personally think what mixer you use matters. If it works, it works. Like I said, mines a piece of shit but if you don't have the cash to spend on a nice one just get what ever you can afford

Re: What DJ kit are you currently using (and wtf should i do

First decks I ever bought was a midi controller. Within a month or two I realised my mistake and less than a year ago I received tax credits and bought a pair of technic 1200s (my friend gave me a 2 channel mixer for free, its so shit I can't even remember the name of it). If you want to cover most ...

Funny, pretty sure it was designed or developed by the owner of A&H

Re: R.ichie H.awtin's new mixer

Our editor in work wrote a great piece about the new mixer.

“Once people see that I’m using it in my sets I’m bound to get a few more bookings"

Re: DJs who unexpectedly blew you away

Wasn't a dj set but when I saw Karenn live for the first time in 2013\14 i couldn't get over how crazy it sounded, the modular sounds I mean. My love for modular was has grown now to me building my own modular

Re: Record shops in London

Had no idea there were any vinyl shops left in Brighton. That's good news. There's tons of record shops in Brighton, I couldn't believe it! On one street there was 3 record shops, all with a great variety of music (mostly jazz, indie and hip hop) but they had crates full of house, techno, dnb, dubs...

Re: Record shops in London

Thanks for the help guys I managed to check out a few yous have mentioned! Was also down in Brighton for a day and got to check out a few here too. Managed to buy a few off fellow techno legend, Billy Nasty while here in Brighton for BMC. Really nice guy! Didn't recognise him until he handed me his ...

Record shops in London

Howdy I'm heading over to London on Thursday - Saturyday and I wanna check out a few record shops while I'm there. Can anybody give me the low down for which ones to check out for techno, house, electronic, hiphop? (mainly the first two) I've heard of phonica from friends, is a worth checking out? a...

Re: Let talks Modular Synthesis (noobie)

These things are really fucking expensive, are they worth it? Nobody can answer if building a modular synth is worth it to you but you  For me, yes it is 100%. My main reason for wanting to buy a modular is to get back in to music making. I've been using ableton for 7 years and I'm bored of it...

Re: Let talks Modular Synthesis (noobie)

If you go out and buy all those modules in one go you will be fucked. Simple. Planning a 9U set-up without even having touched a module is going to end badly. I plan on trying to have this modular built within a year, I won't be buying it all in one go haha as much as I wish I could do that I just ...

After calculating it all up into euros from various european modular sites (mind you, I will probably be looking for all thes...

Re: The best/worst things in 2015 that happened in techno

My first and only ep i've ever released (so far) has popped up on a few of those pirating sites within a few weeks of its release. I don't know whether to be flattered or annoyed..I suppose once you see your tracks showing up on those sites it means you're going somewhere or at least heading in the ...
