Re: Who here still goes to clubs?
I do a lot more this days than when I was younger to be honest. I went to a considerable amount of open airs from 2010 to 2014 but as I got older, grumpy and picky with what I like to listen to and, at the same time, the whole scene shifted in a very weird way, crowd and sound wise, I stopped almost...

this one is shazam level hard Track ID at 0:58 mQsymeOwrEg Can't find the right track, but this sounds very much like Kamikaze Space Programme stuff^^ Didn't know this artist, very interesting stuff but, although I agree that there is a resemblance, I feel like the track in the video has a little m...

Re: Your favourite techno labels
Not only the Tresor fraud. He did it several times. I know what you mean, sometimes is hard to dissociate the owner from its product, but you gotta agree that his label got some quality releases from genuine artists. I disagree. I think people find it very easy to turn a blind eye to a person behin...

:? :? :? :? I know there is that whole shitstorm with Beddewela and his Golden Rule EP but other than that I quite like the label selection and aesthetics. Shlømo, Tim Tama, Yan Cook, Introversion, Cleric all had releases that I very much enjoyed through ARTS. Is there any other particular reason w...

Re: ** IMPORTANT NEWS _ subsekt Has Become A Label / Release Info _ PLEASE READ **
I found out about this release when I joined the forum not long ago and gotta say it's one of the nicest things I heard this year. I specially like how huge, yet someway minimalist, everything sounds. Reminded me a lot of Paula Temple's productions.

Sounds great! Could definitely see this work in a very long set - it has that great forward driving energy, which doesn't exhaust you :D Split is a 2016 American psychological horror thriller film and the second installment in the Unbreakable trilogy written, directed, and produced by M. Night Shya...

Re: UK People. When Are You Moving To Ireland?
Everything is going to get worse, in environmental terms. All we can do now is control just how much shit hits the fan. I don't have kids so I have no real investment in the future but somehow I still care and both of us do about as we can. We are both vegan, we minimise our plastic usage, are sign...

Re: How do you guys use toms in house or techno?
I've been experimenting a lot with toms to add some groove, speed up the track and reinforce the low end. I used to apply delays on the kick for this but I think toms give you a lot more rhythmical freedom. Not totally satisfied though, as I find toms to sound a little bit too "organical" in compari...

Re: Where is dancemusic culture heading?
Just to shed a little optimism, I have to be honest, I am loving this 90's techno/hard trance revival. I had to endure so many years with the standard 127 bpm melodic techno and generic tech house parties where I live that I feel we are living one of the most refreshing moments with the harder, fast...

Måinmise Records - Great French techno label (Based in Paris) that I recently had an EP release come out on towards the end of last month - check out all their other releases too as they do a lot of awesome hypnotic and heavy industrial/dark techno type stuff https://mainmiserecords.bandcamp.com/ A...

Multiple pads
I've been experimenting with multiple pads trying to generate more depth and texture in my melodies but I have a huge trouble doing this without the overall result sounding muffled or becoming a big mess. Already tried eqing them so each one is responsible for a very specific range of frequencies bu...

Re: Amøbe - Skab Skellet
Great track, I am really enjoying this new hard hitting trancey/acid techno trend. The melody is great and engaging all trough the track and tbh I quite like the upfront hats. I might agree with dubdub on the presence and weight on the low end though. Saturate the hell out of this kick and you'll ha...
