Neutral Labs Scrooge

Glitchy wierdness. Bit pricy but interesting. While you can convince it to deliver boomy kick drum sounds, clicky hi-hats or metallic snares, it would much rather be making glitchy artifacts, hollow crackles and horribly distorted growls. It contains a sophisticated and performance-oriented step seq...

Re: Behringer MS-5

I think you might be the last person is this dusty town. Ha! Someone has to keep the lights on. There are the occasional appearances from people, hopefully it will pick up again at some point. I'll say that I've been impress2d with most of Big B's stuff I've gotten. Some of the Euro modules that th...

Behringer MS-5

Disclosure: I'm not a fan of behringer. I think the poor quality complaints from the past were justified, but they don't seem to apply anymore as far as I can tell, the modern stuff is fairly well built. It's mostly the shady attitude/business practices that put me off. However, I think they did a p...

Re: AI and music

This place is officially dead and it’s really quite saddening :( Since joining, you've averaged one post every 7 months. I'm not trying to be a dick here, or make you feel bad. The point is that a community only works if people participate. Go make some posts! Once it starts to look like there's a ...

Good to see this forum still exists, haven't been here a good while though then it's always a toss up whether something became defunct overnight. so that's cool:]

Korg Modwave

This thing passed me by, as I bought a Modal Argon8 a few years ago (which didn't work out) plus I thought the Opsix was the more interesting of the 3 new synths that korg introduced back then. However, I'm back interested in wavetable again and have been giving this thing a closer look. Holy crap d...

but also in how he expresses himself when he speaks. Hmmm.......yeah it's funny how someone's manner and choice of words can affect us. I like Blake Baxter for this. He seems humble, relatable and with a hint of humour always bubbling under the surface. I wish Juan came across better, but he often ...

Someone on an other forum said he died of fetanyl, supposedly sold as heroin
I read that three of them were found in a house in California, the other two being his girlfriend and his musical/business partner. Given their relatively young ages it would not be a surprise if drugs were involved.

Re: Slam remix competition

I'm wondering: If you add so much of your own elements that the original is barely even noticeable, is it still a remix? I've heard plenty of released remixes over the years that you wouldn't recognise anything from the original. It bugged me for a while but sometimes you just have to let go of thi...

Re: Slam remix competition

Yeah that's the problem for anyone entering this competition, I would bet money that if the entry doesn't fit into the 'business techno' mold, it won't win.
